- Approved ordinance enforcing new government structure under the “executive mayor-legislative council” system passed by voters in 2021.
- Approved staff directions to gather data on homeless encampment evictions (such as amount of time and money spent by city) and research best practices for responding to encampments.
- The council approved legal settlements with plaintiffs claiming harms suffered from police officers using excessive force in response to protests following the death of George Floyd.
- Council members introduced a few proposals which were forwarded to committees. That includes amending pollution regulations to specify carbon dioxide as a pollutant, authorizing additional security support for reproductive health clinics, and renewing the Target Market program.
