The San Diego Regional Human Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children Advisory Council’s (HT Advisory Council) vision is a united San Diego region working collaboratively to create long term, systematic change effectively addressing human trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of children.
The HT Advisory Council was formed by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors in 2011 to serve as a catalyst toward comprehensive, systematic change addressing human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children at a countywide, interdisciplinary level. The HT Advisory Council serves the geographic region of the County of San Diego. The HT Advisory Council is an advisory committee to the Board of Supervisors.
The mission of the Health Subcommittee is to improve the response in healthcare to human trafficking in San Diego County and beyond. We strive to create a cohesive culture of knowledge, mutual understanding, multidisciplinary collaboration and trauma-informed education for clinicians and health care facilities.

Agency Information
County of San Diego- Boards and Commissions
San Diego County has over 100 citizen boards, committees, commissions (BCCs) and task forces that need residents to serve as members.
There are many different types of BCCs that support the County. Some are temporary and only meet for a short time. They may help make decisions or recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on a specific topic. Others are permanent groups that were created as part of State or local law. Some of these committees have legal responsibilities such as the Property Tax Assessment Appeals Hearing Board where members serve three-year terms and make decisions regarding property values on behalf of the Board of Supervisors. There are committees that assist with everything from health issues to social issues, criminal justice, elderly, planning and land use, parks, libraries, housing, and human relations.
