A quorum was met and the minutes from the Plan Commission's meeting on 2/17 have been approved. We will now move on to agenda item C.
A motion to defer agenda item C(1) to the next meeting, a disposition of city-owned land at 6831 S. Halsted St. to The Beloved Community Family Wellness Center, has passed.
Public Testimony: Butler Adams addressed agenda item D(3) at 1353 W. Fulton Ave in support but saying the “corner seems monolithic and sterile." Adams also addressed item D(4) at 360 N. Green Ave in support and D(5) in support and asked for more density near the CTA and Metra.
A motion for agenda item C(2), a disposition of city-owned land, generally located at 6435 North California Avenue to Yachad/Li, passes.
Moving on to Agenda Item D(1): Mercy Housing Lakefront is proposing to renovate the 70-single room units at Belray Apartments to 81-single room units and 5 dwelling units. The units would be affordable and would be intended to house those facing homelessness.
The majority of units for Mercy Housing Lakefront's affordable housing in Lakeview will house those who make 30% or less of the area's median income. Other units will be available to those who make 30%-60% of the area's median income.

Agenda Item D(2): Humboldt Park Health is proposing a three-story, 45,500 square foot fitness center building at 2933 W. Division St. Approximately 500 parking spaces are also proposed at this location, which is near Humbolt Park Health hospital. chicago.documenters.org/documents/pres…
The wellness center would include a pool, open fitness area, community gathering rooms and an outdoor terrace.

A motion to approve agenda item D(5), the Neighborhood Design Guidelines, has passed. These guidelines are considered a living document to be refined as needed. This will be a policy adopted by the Plan Commission Department.
